News Year 9s Sharpen Up Their Enterprise Skills 09.10.2024

During CYL week our Year 9s took part in an Enterprise Skills Game competing in teams to run and manage a mobile phone store. They were responsible for the overall performance of the business including sales, marketing, products, finance, staff and stock management. They competed to see which teams could score best on revenue, profits, customer experience and staff satisfaction.

The simulation went through quarters 1, 2 and 3 looking at three different segments of the mobile phone market – business, social and surfer – providing additional information and challenges along the way as students submitted and finessed their decisions. They were provided with critical market research and were able to monitor their progress on a quarterly basis responding to changing market conditions.

It was hugely competitive and a lot of fun with students learning some brilliant business skills along the way!
