7 students embarked on a journey through history with a pilgrimage to St Albans Cathedral, exploring the pivotal role of the church in medieval England.
The day offered a range of immersive activities designed to deepen students’ understanding of the church’s influence on society during the period. Through hands-on workshops, they discovered how monasteries supported the welfare of local communities and the significance of pilgrimage in spiritual life. Students also had the opportunity to unleash their creativity, trying their hand at brass rubbing and crafting illuminated manuscripts in the style of medieval artisans.
