News Talk from the University of Toronto 28.11.2024
Our Year 11 and Sixth Form students enjoyed the opportunity to attend a lunchtime meeting with the Associate Director of Student Recruitment at the University of Toronto, Ms Anne Rose.
Ms Rose shared the exciting news about U of T’s global leadership in sustainability, recognised by the 2024 QS World University Rankings where the university placed first overall out of more than 1,400 institutions across 95 countries. The students also learned about U of T’s three vibrant campuses – St. George (downtown Toronto), Mississauga and Scarborough, each offering a unique set of academic programmes, community-engaged research, hands-on learning, and co-op opportunities.
Combining experiential learning with classroom education, U of T is well known for its excellent undergraduate research opportunities, particularly in STEM. Ms Rose reminded our prospective applicants that Old Dolphin Lavinia was one of 38 students awarded the prestigious Lester B. Pearson Scholarship last year, covering the full cost of attendance for all four years as well as offering exciting research opportunities in her chosen field of Life Sciences.
