News Success for Magnolia in US Fencing Championships 16.01.2020

Many congratulations to Magnolia in Year 9 who, after recently winning two fencing tournaments in the US, has been selected for the U14 England squad.

Over the winter break, Magnolia took part in the Fairfax Challenge in Maryland where she won the Y14 women’s epee, placed 6th in Junior’s (Y20), 9th in Cadets (Y16), 3rd in the Austin Challenge Y14 and she won the U14 Elite Epee Millfield event.

As a result of her achievements, England Fencing have asked Magnolia to represent them at the annual Espoo Fencing Challenge in Finland at the end of the month. She will be taking part in the U14 girls epee event and she will also fence in Cadets (U17).

The school is immensely proud of Magnolia’s achievements and wish her all the best for the competition in Finland.
