News Social Impact Prize 2024 05.07.2024
We were delighted to present the Social Impact Prizes at the final assembly of the year. There was a fantastic array of entries as follows:
Group 1: Equipment Drive and Sports Day for local primary school pupils;
Group 2: Art Workshops for people with dementia;
Group 3: an app to combat misinformation;
Group 4: a social enterprise project to help end period poverty;
Group 5: a book collection and donation service for local charity shops;
Group 6: a project to run a talk with a partner state secondary school on the ‘Hidden World of STEM’;
Group 7: creating a Musical Theatre Workshop for a local primary school;
Group 8: a book donation project for school children in the Gambia;
Group 9: the launch of a new Calligraphy Club for children in the local community.
The results were as follows:
Group 1 (Eva, Chloe and Oliva) and Group 2 (Amelia, Giorgia and May) were joint first taking the Senior Social Impact Prize for impact on the local community
Group 3 (Rania and Ella) were awarded Senior Social Impact Prize winners for impact on the wider world.
Group 7 (Chivani, Abby, Annabel, Zeynep, Bella and Ines) were awarded the Junior Social Impact Prize winners for impact on the local community.
Group 8 (Mariella) was awarded the Junior Social Impact Prize for impact on the wider community.
All other students were highly commended by our judges for their fantastic entries.
