News Sixth Formers learn the art of academic conversation 26.11.2021

Last week saw the Lower Sixth engaged in individual conversations with a number of leading academics from a range of backgrounds at our Higher Education event, ‘The Art of Academic Conversation’.

The Art of the Academic Conversation was launched in 2020 and offers students the opportunity to speak to professionals from a number of different fields – from engineers to cell biologists. There was the purposeful buzz of conversation, with the topics being discussed ranging from heterogeneity to polar exploration, bilingualism to biosecurity. The speakers included Professors from leading universities, including Oxford and Imperial College London, as well as a number of successful Old Dolphins.

By the close, both students and delegates left feeling academically stimulated and enriched.
