Bridge SeniorsWidening Access for Sixth Formers

Bridge Seniors was launched in Summer 2023 as an academic enrichment programme for Year 10 girls who are about to enter Year 11 and who are considering their options for Sixth Form. The programme provides a series of talks and workshops from Godolphin teachers to enrich and extend understanding across a range of disciplines, and also offer support to students and parents who are considering applying for a bursary to join the Godolphin and Latymer Sixth Form.

Twenty girls joined us for the 2024 programme from Kensington Aldridge Academy, The Hurlingham Academy, Fulham Cross Girls School, Saint Thomas More Language College, Saint Gabriel’s College and Kingsford Community School. The week of afternoon talks and workshops included: a Science lesson – a murder mystery using forensic science; a poetry workshop; a ‘Maths in Action’ workshop; an eye-opening session on linguistics, and a humanities session on 21st-century global issues.

Can I start off by saying a massive thankful for inviting our young people to attend your summer school. Four of our girls attended and they had the most amazing time. It was very impressive to hear about the activities they did. The girls were so blown away by the experience that they, and others who were not able to attend, have decided to make a Sixth Form application.
