News Orchestral Exchange with Latymer Upper and Gelehrtenschule des Johanneums 23.02.2023

Over the half-term break, twenty students from the Godolphin Symphony Orchestra travelled to Hamburg to perform as alongside students from Latymer Upper and Gelehrtenschule des Johanneums for our 42nd annual orchestral exchange.

Players from all three schools combined to create one super-sized orchestra which worked together over three days to rehearse works by Schubert, Beethoven, Sibelius and Loesser, culminating in a concert in front of a very full and appreciative audience. The girls enjoyed being hosted by students from the Johanneum and their families, indulging in a range of social activities, a bus tour of Hamburg, as well as some time exploring Berlin before the flight home.
