News Northern Ireland Sports Tour 03.11.2022
34 Year 9 students enjoyed a packed four-day sports tour to Northern Ireland during half-term.
Students played four extremely competitive hockey matches coming out with three victories and were unbeaten in their four netball matches. They also enjoyed a hockey coaching session with ex-international Shirley McCay, and a netball session with ex-international Noleen Lennon. They also experienced the touristic sites of Belfast and Northern Ireland by visiting a very windy (but thankfully dry!) Giants Causeway, the Titanic museum, and enjoyed lunch in the basking sun outside the Northern Ireland parliament home of Stormont. In case that wasn’t enough, the girls also did high ropes, toboggan rides and flew down Ireland’s longest zip wire at 700m with speeds of up to 20mph!
