News National Careers Week: Year 10 Higher Education and Careers Exploration Day 07.03.2025
To celebrate National Careers Week, students in Year 10 engaged in a number of enrichment sessions allowing them to begin to consider their post-school options.
Orla Harper from Investin led sessions on employment skills and Ikigai, the art of finding a career that fulfils you. Upper sixth student Freya led an interview with Godolphin parent Yana Peel on Careers in the Arts Sector, and students had the opportunity to find out more about Degree Apprenticeships from the University of Exeter. They also attended a carousel of talks offered by members of staff featuring a wide range of options allowing pupils to explore a wide range of options including: linguistics, criminal justice, cultural appropriation in fashion design and Renaissance architecture. Further optional sessions included an introduction to clinical skills for Medics, an introduction to US applications and an insight into working as a freelancer from film maker Tom Edkins.
