News Local Primary School Maths Challenge 05.07.2019

For the second year running, we hosted the UKMT Primary Maths Team Challenges for Year 5 students from twelve local primary schools.

The contest consisted of four exciting rounds that challenged the teams to work together on a variety of problem-solving activities. The first two rounds focused on team work and strategy, whilst the third focused on mathematical rigour and speed. The final round, the Relay, is a firm favourite and consisted of some maths and a lot of running around.

It was a close-run contest, but Belmont Primary just edged it, and took home first prize. Congraulations, Belmont!
