News Life After University 11.12.2020
Thank you to Old Dolphins Lamia, Sophia, Elle, Tarin and Alexandra for speaking to Upper Sixth students on Tuesday lunchtime on life after university.
From a festive Sixth Form common room, the Old Dolphins spoke about the projects and roles they’ve been a part of since leaving university. They also spoke about the importance of networking and seeking advice from people in industries that attract your interest. Despite their diverse range of career paths – from brand specialists at Amazon, to founding their own art reference libraries – there was a common theme that ran through each of the talks; imploring students to have confidence in their abilities and combat the idea of ‘imposter syndrome’ felt by many women in the workplace.
It is always a pleasure to welcome our alumnae back to the school and we thank them for their invaluable career advice and fascinating insight into the variety of jobs available for graduates.
