News Izzy Helping in the Community 14.05.2020

Many of you watching the BBC News Report, Corona Kindness, last Friday evening will have spotted Izzy, in Year 11, talking about the work she is doing to help organise the Hammersmith and Fulham Mutual Aid Group. Izzy is the administrator for the Avonmore and Brook Green ward where they work with local organisations, charities and the council to support vulnerable neighbours and members of her local community. Much of their work is to support local people who live alone or who may be lonely or who might not have family or friends nearby who can do shopping for them if they need to self-isolate. Izzy is responsible for assigning volunteers to respond to requests for help as quickly as possible, as well as helping out herself.
