News Isabell awarded second place in Korean Literature Review Contest 19.11.2021

Many congratulations to Sixth Form student Isabell who was awarded second place in the 2021 Korean Literature Review Contest.

The Korean Literature Review Contest is a public contest hosted by the International Institute for Korean Studies at the University of Central Lancashire. The contest encourages readers outside Korea to share their reviews and thoughts on literary works by Korean authors. Isabell wrote her review on One Left by the author Kim Soom, a novel that tells the story of the ‘comfort women’, young women who were forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese army in the Second World War. For her second-placed finish, Isabell received a certificate and a £300 book voucher.
