News How ‘Design Thinking’ is helping Year 7 students develop their entrepreneurial mindset 01.10.2020

As part of our Futures programme, Year 7 students tackled the concept of ‘Design Thinking’ in the first of a series of workshops designed to unearth their entrepreneurial spirit and problem solving skills. 

We have partnered with a Stanford Design School graduate to create this exciting programme. The girls were introduced to the concepts of empathy and needfinding in this first session and how companies such as Apple and Ford have successfully employed such an approach. Finally, the girls were set a challenge, which they will work on in groups over the coming months, to find and solve a problem in transition from primary to secondary education. 

We are excited to see the girls develop their entrepreneurial mindset and look forward to the next Futures workshop.
