News Hibo Wardere talks to the Sixth Form 01.02.2024

On Tuesday we welcomed campaigner and educator for the #NoFGM movement, Hibo Wardere, who spoke to Upper Sixth students on the pressing issue of FGM and its associated challenges.

Hibo came to London as a teenager amidst the backdrop of the Somali Civil War. She shared with students the trauma of her own personal journey, shed light on the harrowing reality faced by approximately 200 million girls worldwide, and explained the entrenched cultural and religious motivations for FGM.

Thank you to Hibo for her courageous and candid storytelling which has not only left an indelible impact on our students but has also served as a beacon for raising awareness about the plight of millions of girls globally.
