News Harrodian Classics Conference 10.11.2022

Last Friday, a number of our Sixth Form classicists attended the Classics Conference at the Harrodian School. The lectures were on a range of topics, some pertinent to their courses – Homer, Virgil, and Athenian civic identity in Greek tragedy – and some extensions beyond our course material – such as transgender identity and understanding in antiquity. 

The girls all engaged marvellously, offering thoughtful questions from the floor, and they even managed a photo with the eminent Prof. Armand D’Angour! A fantastic day was had by all – it was also a great opportunity to mix with classics students from other schools over lunch, and it was a wonderful bonding experience for our cohort of classicists!
