News Global Politics Speaker: Lydia Paynter from Malaria No More 04.07.2024

Last week Lower Sixth IB Global Politics students had the opportunity to hear from Lydia Paynter, Campaigns Manager at development charity Malaria No More.

The class recently started studying the topic of Development and the opportunities and obstacles for the world’s poorer countries. Lydia Paynter joined the class to discuss the impact of health on countries’ development prospects. Although her organisation has a focus on the devastating impact of malaria, she discussed wider health issues as solutions to these challenges are dependent on healthcare systems. The students asked thoughtful questions and received responses that were detailed and in depth.
