News GCSE Art and Design Exhibition 2024 06.06.2024

On Thursday evening, we were delighted to welcome family and friends of the Year 11 GCSE artists to a Private View celebrating their amazing creative achievements over the last two years. This is an invaluable opportunity for the students to see their Art and Design work in an exhibition environment, and to share this with the wider school community.

We have been so impressed by the outstanding quality of the work they have produced, and it is a real pleasure to see it all together in a more formal setting. The Hall was host to the Coursework Folio, produced in Year 10 and 11, where every student has produced two ambitious sets of prints, a set of photographs and some truly accomplished self-portraits and oil paintings. From there, guests were led down the corridor past a wealth of studies which overflowed from the Hall. The exhibition culminated in the Cloisters Room, with a presentation of work created during the final exam. The Cloisters made a superlative backdrop for the extraordinary range and quality of work on display, and all the Year 11 artists should feel extremely proud of how far they have come, and how much they have achieved.
