News Farewell, Upper Sixth! 30.04.2021
As their time in lessons drew to a close, we celebrated two events with the Upper Sixth this week, marking the transition they will soon be embarking upon from Godolphin and Latymer students to members of the Old Dolphin family.
On Thursday, the year group were photographed formally for the last time together. This photograph will be available for families to order soon as a memento of their final year at Godolphin and Latymer. This was followed by the Farewell Lunch on Friday, an occasion to celebrate their achievements, to say thank you for their many and varied contributions to school life, and to wish them well for their next steps.
However, the Farewell Lunch is not the end just yet. We are looking forward to the start of an exciting programme of academic enrichment and real life skills sessions which begins next week for the UVI IB students and carries on until 18 June; the UVI A Level students will join this programme after the end of their school assessments. The programme involves a host of school staff, an exciting range of external speakers and independent work from the students themselves, leaving them in an excellent position as they prepare for their post Godolphin and Latymer journey.
We are also very much looking forward to rounding off celebrations with a reception for Upper Sixth Leavers and their parents and the Leavers’ Ball later this term. So while it is not quite our final ‘farewell’ yet, it is still an opportunity to thank this remarkable year group for all they have given to Godolphin and Latymer.
