News Debating returns with first fixture of the year against Westminster School 23.09.2021

Last week students in Year 11 and the Upper Sixth enjoyed their first debating fixture of the year with a British parliamentary debate against Westminster School.

The motion on the table was ‘This house would make all schools co-educational’. The allocation of the proposition to Godolphin and the opposition to Westminster encouraged all involved to argue the case for the type of school their opponents attended, developing their abilities to see the other side of the case – a valuable life skill.

Congratulations to Sanaya, Immy, Dilia and Ruby who all spoke brilliantly. Forthcoming fixtures are planned with Harrow, Tiffin, Sacred Heart, Old Palace and St Mary’s and all Sixth Form students (including novice debaters) are encouraged to get involved.
