FacilitiesTraditional and Modern
Well-maintained historic buildings – including a converted church – sit side-by-side with modern facilities interconnected by tranquil lawns and courtyards.
Our on-site sports centre includes a sports hall which is equipped and marked-out for cricket, football, fencing, badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball and hockey – plus a full-height climbing wall and professional sound system. There’s a dance studio, separate fully-equipped fitness studio, and a dual-aspect viewing gallery overlooking the sports hall and the outside astro pitches. These flood-lit pitches include hockey pitches – doubling up for rounders and athletics in the summer – adjacent to netball and tennis courts. Having all these facilities on-site means that they are a hive of activity before school, during breaks and lunchtime and after school.
A converted church accommodates our versatile performing arts centre with a glass atrium providing light and open spaces. This connects to the modern music school with its rehearsal and practice rooms and a fully-equipped music suite. The art studios harness natural light, and our design and technology and food technology work rooms add to our curricular and extra-curricular programme. There’s a well-stocked library and well-equipped science block with modern labs and interactive learning spaces.
The school has recently completed a major building project at the centre of the site including the extended Sixth Form Centre and the new Cloisters Room and Library. As well as providing improved indoor and outdoor facilities and spaces, the project has allowed for better connections between existing buildings enabling students and staff to move more efficiently around the campus.
Godolphin and Latymer is just a stone’s throw away from Hammersmith Broadway, benefitting from easy access to world-class museums, galleries and theatres, yet situated in a quiet oasis of tree-lined streets away from the busy arterial roads.
"Most recent is the redevelopment of the well-stocked library and sixth form centre (complete with Nespresso machines), plus a dining area extension and outside landscaping [...] light, bright settings with a distinct Scandi-hygge feel, muted tones, limewashed wood and generally very aesthetically pleasing.
