News U14 Netball Squad Shine at Sisters n Sport Plate Competition in Loughborough 07.03.2025

The U14 Netball Squad embarked on an exciting journey to Loughborough to compete in the prestigious Sisters n Sport Plate competition. Despite a challenging start, the team’s resilience and determination shone through as they fought hard in each match.

The squad faced a tough opening game, falling behind 12-1 at one stage. However, the team displayed remarkable spirit, staging a strong comeback. Despite their best efforts, they couldn’t quite bridge the gap, but their commendable performance secured a place in the 3rd/4th place play-off. In the play-off match against Epsom College, the girls once again found themselves trailing by three goals. Undeterred, they rallied together with impressive teamwork and precision play, overturning the deficit to claim victory by three goals. Mia was deservedly named Player of the Game for her outstanding shooting and dynamic movement on court, playing a pivotal role in the squad’s success.

Off the court, the team enjoyed an inspiring visit to Loughborough University, gaining valuable insight into life at one of the UK’s top sporting institutions. A special highlight was meeting Loughborough Lightning star Shadine Van Der Merwe, who presented the team with their medals, capping off an unforgettable day.

The U14 squad’s character, teamwork, and skill shone brightly throughout the competition, providing inspiration for future success. Congratulations to all the girls on a fantastic achievement!
