News Owzat! Top School for Cricket 25.11.2024

We are absolutely delighted to have been named as one of the UK’s top schools for cricket by The Cricketer’s School Guide 2025. This year’s special 10th anniversary edition features the top 100 senior, top 50 prep/junior, top 20 all-girls schools for cricket and the top 25 state schools.

The roll call of schools emerged from a large number of entrants who were judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching. The Cricketer magazine editor Huw Turbervill said: “One of the most phenomenal things about the last decade is seeing cricket usurp rounders as the sport for girls. Rejoice!”

At Godolphin we have strengthened our offering, particularly with more hard ball cricket being played. During last year’s season the U12s were crowned London Schools’ champions; the U13s made it to the regional stages of the Lady Taverners competition; while the U15s made Godolphin history by being crowned Lady Taverners national champions. We are looking forward to another successful season of cricket at Godolphin and Latymer.
