News ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Guest Choreographers 07.12.2023

Rehearsals are pressing ahead in earnest for our eagerly anticipated Lower School musical production of Beauty and the Beast which is coming to the Bishop Centre stage next year. At this week’s rehearsals we were extremely excited and honoured to welcome leading choreographers Francesca Jaynes and Dale Mercer to run movement workshops with groups of the cast.

Francesca is one of the UK’s leading choreographers and movement directors in feature films, television, commercials and theatre. She has worked with directors such as Tim Burton, Mike Leigh, Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg and her work has been enjoyed by a broad audience all around the world. Francesca’s recent feature film work includes Muppets Most Wanted, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Black Widow (Marvel Series) Gravity and the recently released Napoleon. Dale works as Assistant Choreographer with Francesca and as lead dancer and actor in many feature films and TV series including the recently released Napoleon.

We are so lucky to have such experienced and talented choreographers come and work with the girls and we are sure that the results will be evident when the spectacular Beauty and the Beast show opens.
