News Lower Sixth students take part in the LSE Mentorpreneurship programme 14.09.2023
As part of the G&L Futures Live Projects, Lower Sixth students spent the day at the London School of Economics as part of the LSE Mentorpreneurship programme.
The students tackled themes such as understanding social entrepreneurship, the value of systematic thinking in social enterprise, ideation with social startup founders on current issues they are facing and also a workshop entitled ‘Does your job exist yet?’. This deep dive into ways of effective thinking to be successful in the social enterprise space also launches the Lower Sixth course run jointly with school and the LSE as part of their Mentorpreneurship programme and supports students to envision, develop, improve and refine initiatives aiming to benefit society and community. Through doing and reflecting on action, students can most easily develop the agile mindset which will be so valuable as they move through education and beyond but also see some of the skills that they are developing.
G&L Futures Live Projects seek to arm students with the important skills identified by the World Economic Forum such as analytical thinking and innovation; complex problem-solving; critical thinking and analysis; creativity; ideation and leadership.
