News Independent School of the Year Awards 14.07.2023
We were absolutely delighted to end the academic year with the news that we had been shortlisted in the Independent School of the Year Awards 2023 for both our contribution to social mobility and as London Independent School of the Year.
The award entry for contribution to social mobility highlighted the success of the Bridge programme which is providing academic enrichment to primary school children and is also helping them and their parents to successfully apply to academically selective schools, often supported by a means-tested bursary. The school is also wholly committed to expanding its own bursary programme and spreading the word to raise awareness. We are delighted that in September 2023 five students from the Bridge programme will be joining Godolphin, following in the footsteps of the the three students who joined us in both 2022 and 2021.
The entry for the London award demonstrated how the school celebrates being part of a vibrant, diverse and multi-cultural capital city and how we enhance the learning of our students with everything that is on offer on our doorstep. We also highlighted how the school and our students are keen to give back to our local community, and that this is particularly important for our community, partnerships, and outreach projects.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for the announcement of the finalists in September.
