News Junior Chamber Choir perform with Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School 04.05.2023

Last Thursday, Year 7 and 8 members of Junior Chamber Choir performed alongside the Schola Cantorum of the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in a quite fabulous performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers. The concert took place in the beautiful setting of St James’ Church, Spanish Place and was accompanied by period ensemble His Majestys Sagbutts and Cornetts as well as internationally-acclaimed soloists Nicholas Mulroy and Mark Dobell (listen out for the latter on Saturday’s coronation!).

The girls sang superbly and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of performing in the high triforium, far away from the main choir and ensemble. It was also a real treat to perform with Simon Cowell’s latest ‘Golden-Buzzee’, Malakai Bayoh, a Year 9 chorister from Cardinal Vaughan.
