News Year 9 Curriculum Inhouse Internship 04.05.2023

On Tuesday it was the turn of 9JM and 9PS to present their researched and informed ideas to encourage local school children to choose more sustainable and eco-friendly travel options. Our Year 9 Inhouse Internship has been embedded into the curriculum so that all students have followed the programme to develop a range of skills including:

  • Ideation exploring different personas
  • Parallel research
  • Customer discovery
  • Visual methods
  • Proposed solutions
  • Practice presentation and critique
  • Final presentation
  • Reflection

We were absolutely delighted to once again be joined by Mark Thomlinson, Climate Engagement and Behaviour Change Lead at Hammersmith and Fulham Council, and his colleague Mathilde Griffin. Presentations were judged on the following criteria:

  • Campaign with the most effective visuals
  • Campaign most likely to change the identified target audience’s behaviour
  • Campaign that would be easiest for the council to implement.

Mr Thomlinson was very impressed with our Year 9’s enthusiasm for their projects and congratulated them saying, ‘It is wonderful to see the Godolphin girls engage with these issues so intelligently and to develop ideas that will resonate with other young people in the borough. It is through projects like this we can enable climate-friendly behaviours among young people and really make a difference in the community around the school.’
