News Raising Money for Macmillan 04.02.2023

For World Cancer Day, staff and students from across the school walked, ran and rowed to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event was organised by the Head Girls Team, who set up the Just Giving page and coordinated the run with the help of the school. Staff and students of all ages completed a 5k around Ravenscourt Park after school, with some opting to complete their 5k on rowing and cycling machines.

The Head Girls Team said, “We decided to raise money for Macmillan, as a charity who saves and supports so many people living with cancer through research, doctors and service. The run was also a great way for girls and staff alike to unite for this cause, raise awareness and discover the outdoors. Being able to be active is also a privilege that we often take for granted”.

The collective efforts of the school community saw over £1,000 raised for Macmillan.
