News Inclusivity and Diversity Workshop 13.01.2023

On Thursday students in Years 8 and 9 attended workshops on LGBT+ awareness and allies by Diversity Role Models, an educational charity with the aim to educate for inclusion.

Our students heard first-hand accounts from LGBT+ and ally role models about their lived experience, which shed light onto the importance of embracing diversity. This was a real highlight to the workshop as the students were able to ask the role models questions which facilitated open discussions. This showcased the maturity and curiosity of our students, who left the workshops with an increased awareness on the importance of empathy, embracing difference and supporting each other.
