News Dr Finn Burns Speaks to Aspiring Medics 20.01.2022

On Thursday we welcomed Dr Finn Burns visited the school to talk to some of our aspiring Lower Sixth medics about her career in medicine.

Currently a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Burns spoke about her current training programme to become a consultant in her field and before this her experiences as a junior foundation doctor and a medical student. Our Lower Sixth had lots of thoughtful questions about the realities of working as a doctor and came away with a much better understanding of what the early years of a doctor’s career looks like; from work life balance to opportunities to work abroad.
