News Sketching on the Seafront: Art and Design students visit Worthing 14.10.2021

Well before many Godolphin students were awake on Monday morning, Sixth Form Art and Design students were on the coach and heading for the South Coast for a day of sketching, printmaking and photography in the seaside town of Worthing.

The trip was an opportunity for students to enrich their sketchbooks, demonstrating variety in both composition and style. Sitting on the beach, Sixth Form artists explored a range of media, including Tetrapak printing and SLR photography. The spectacular seascape was visually stimulating and provided many with an alternative perspective on their chosen theme.

Despite the two hour coach journey, the morale of the students was undoubtedly uplifted by the sunny weather, fish and chips and ice cream to finish the day.
