News Old Dolphins’ Day 2021 23.09.2021
We were delighted to welcome back Old Dolphins, teachers and former members of staff for Old Dolphins’ Day on Saturday.
With over 30 different year groups and more than 200 Old Dolphins in attendance, the day consisted of three events: a luncheon in the school hall for the Classes of 1930- 1961; a garden party for the Classes of 1962-2014; and a champagne reception for the Classes of 2015 and 2016 to celebrate their five-year reunions.
The school hall was filled with the sound of the 1950s school song, played by organ scholar Charlotte Wan (Class of 2021). The 1950s and 1960s cohort were also able to meet the Year 8 students they had exchanged Christmas and school birthday cards with over the past year. All Old Dolphins had the opportunity to catch up with old friends, classmates and former teachers over the course of the day. The afternoon saw nostalgic tours of the school led by Sixth Form ambassadors and even a peek into the archives!
It was fantastic to welcome back the Classes of 2015 and 2016 in the evening as they returned to school for the first time. Their excitement to be reunited was palpable and it was fantastic to learn about the range of adventures and career paths they had undertaken since leaving Godolphin.
