News Tech Collection for Local Children – PLEASE DONATE 22.01.2021

Year 8 students, Alice, Kyra, Harper, Olivia and Alex, are collecting donations of unwanted tech for children and young people in our local area who desperately need IT and computer equipment. Lots of children and young people are at an enormous disadvantage during these times of online schooling as they lack the proper equipment they need to learn from home and to stay connected to their schools.

For the rest of this term, the students are going to be collecting unwanted iPads, laptops, desktops and dongles to donate to these children and young people. This equipment needs to be in good working order, ideally not older than 8 years old and, if at all possible, with its original charger. To ensure this equipment gets to where it is needed most, the girls have linked up with the Ready Tech Go charity based in West London. This is an established charity for distributing tech equipment to schools and families in need. Ready Tech Go experts will wipe the equipment, refurbish it and distribute it to wherever it is needed the most.

Please visit their website (readytechgo.org) to see what they are already doing to support those in need in our area.

The girls have organised a very small group of parents who are happy to undertake safe, doorstep collections of any donations. To donate much-needed equipment, arrange collection, or to find out more please email: techcollection2021@gmail.com

Please print and fill out the donation form and include it with your donation by clicking here.

(If you prefer to leave your donation at the school this is also possible but please email first and they will let you know how best to arrange this).

If you would prefer to donate directly to ‘Ready Tech Go’ please follow the instructions for donating on their website.

If you would prefer to receive a ‘Certificate of destruction’ for your donated item you will need to donate directly through the readytechgo.org website.

Thank you very much for supporting this initiative!
