News Nina’s Fundraising for Action Aid 09.07.2020
We are extremely proud of Nina, Year 8, who has so far raised an incredible £8,000 for ActionAid after hearing about the work that they do at a talk at the school’s PPE Forum.
ActionAid works with women and girls around the world who are living in poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want. Nina first learnt about ActionAid and period poverty – an issue affecting women and girls’ health, education and well-being all over the world – when Olivia Dandeker, the Events and Community Engagement Officer at ActionAid, delivered a talk at one of our PPE Forums. The session focused in particular on the issue of period poverty in both the developed and the developing world, which left Nina feeling inspired to contribute to the fantastic work that ActionAid has done worldwide.
Once her fundraising efforts are over, Nina will receive a letter and certificate from the charity thanking her for the incredible difference her fundraising will have made to the lives of women and girls living in poverty.
