News Philosophy Talks from Professor Andrew Fisher 28.02.2020
On Friday we welcomed Professor Andrew Fisher from the University of Nottingham to work with Sixth Form philosophers.
Andrew, who most recently was the lead for ensuring gender equality in the School of Humanities at Nottingham University, delivered a lecture and seminar to all of the Sixth Form philosophers, as well as IB Theory of Knowledge students about what constitutes knowledge in ethics. He also ran a drop-in session at lunchtime for anyone who interested in the University of Nottingham, or the studying of humanities in general at undergraduate level.
We were extremely lucky to have such a leading academic spend so much time at the school and students were really engaged with the ideas discussed.
